Nelson® Fastener Systems’ Ken Caratelli Appointed to Industrial Fasteners Institute® Vice Chair

(Elyria, OH) Nelson Fastener Systems, the pioneer of critical fastener systems technology and engineered components worldwide, is pleased to announce Ken Caratelli, President, has been appointed to the Vice Chair position for the Industrial Fasteners Institute (IFI).

IFI represents the interests of North American mechanical fasteners and has been in place since 1931.  The mission of the organization is to represent the industry to its suppliers, customers, government and the public at large to advance the competitiveness, products, and innovative technology of the Member Companies in a global marketplace.

The IFI Board of Directors is responsible for the management and operation of the Institute, establishes policy, determines budgets, and administers all activities.  Board representatives are elected by the members of each Division (Industrial Products, Aerospace Fastener Products, Manufacturers, Affiliates, Automotive Industry Manufacturers and Associate Suppliers).  The Board Chairman and Vice Chairman, who are elected annually, and the immediate past chair are the Institute officers.
